Antonietta Dente Kuchta peacefully passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 94. She leaves behind her children, Anna (Frank) and Rosa (Joe); her grandchildren, Johnny (Fatima), Matthew (Elizabeth), Erica, Tristan, and Mikaela; and her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph, James, and Emily.
We will miss our precious mother and grandmother more than words can express, yet we know this is only a temporary separation. We find comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited in heaven. Until then, we hold close the faith she lived by and shared so freely with us.
She was deeply in love with Jesus. He was her joy, her comfort, and her song. In the words of the Psalmist, “I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me,” and she truly did sing His praises throughout the day, letting her love for Him shine through everything she did.
Her family was her whole world. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a fierce and selfless love. We were her life, and she would have turned her world upside down for us without hesitation. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved.
She had a beautiful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She brought light, joy, and warmth to those around her.
For the past seven years, she lived at Résidence Marie-Victorin (Section 2B), which truly became her home. It was a place where she felt safe, cared for, and loved. The staff became like family, sharing in her days, her songs, and her laughter. She received exceptional care, always given with dignity and compassion. From the housekeepers to the nurse in charge, we are deeply grateful to each and every one of them. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Nathalie Lemieux for the exceptional care she provided.
A private burial and memorial service will be held with the family at a later date.
