Brian Arthur Garrett

1950-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Arthur Garrett, who departed peacefully on July 18, 2025, at Centre D’hébergement Champlain soins palliatifs in Verdun, Quebec, Canada after a long battle with colon cancer. Brian was 75 years old, born on January 29, 1950.

Brian was a kind, respectful and positive person who loved his family & friends. He was of the Christian Science faith and had a wonderful relationship with the lord. He loved listening to CJAD 800 and enjoyed playing his guitar,  playing cards with family & friends and was a movie buff(especially the Jurassic Park series). Despite having mobility issues due to having previous hip replacements he always made the effort to spend time with the people he loved.

He will be deeply missed by his loving daughter Eileen (Greg), grandson Alex, sister Diane (André), his nieces and nephews and many friends who he knew throughout his life in the music industry and in and around Verdun where he spent his whole life.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Centre D’hébergement Champlain soins palliatifs for providing Brian with dignity, compassion & kindness in his final week, ensuring his last days were comfortable.

Instead of flowers please send donations to Canadian Cancer Society.

On behalf of myself, Julian, Dylan, and their father Roberto, we give our deepest condolences. I remember Uncle Brian as a very sweet, tender, and sensitive person. When I was younger, while attending family gatherings, I would always observe everyone rather than talking, and I always saw Uncle Brian enjoying the discussions, smiling, laughing, observing, and interjecting sometimes as well. I always wondered what he was thinking, because I found him to be very shy; a true listener, always letting the others speak. Uncle Brian was always kind. I will always remember when he took me and my siblings to the movies in the summers when we were living away, and were visiting. For me, that was very cool as a kid. We got to go to the movies with our Uncle! I remember feeling very happy, excited, and joyful. May Uncle Brian Rest in Peace, and be with family members who have already crossed over. Lynn 🙏🏻❤️
