It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Francoise Lorraine Dora Mercier on December 14th 2023 at the age of 59.
Francy was the beloved sister of Jackie, and the cherished niece of her Aunty Gina. She was a devoted aunt to her niece, Tiffany (Mike), and her nephews, Kyle (Sabrina) and Tyler, and her great nieces and nephews; Miranda, Kayla, Mikey, Killian and Kaiden. She will be missed by her cousins; Charles (Cindy), Louis (Sherry), Lorna, Louise (Francois) and their children; Samantha, Jessy, Sonia and grandson, Raphael. She’ll also be missed by her extended family, and many friends.
She is predeceased by her mother and father; Anne Litner (2009) and Wilson Mercier (2020).
She was one of a kind and anyone who knew her would tell you that she could light up a room with her smile and fill it with her laugh. She lived wholeheartedly, and right up until the end, she did it her way.
All throughout her life, Francy was full of spunk and class. She would tell you where to go and how to get there and she did it with flare and sass. She was a force. She lived life on her own time, and everyone worked around it.
Even when she was unwell, she made sure to show up to family functions and holiday celebrations to spend time with her family that she held very close to her heart. She wished she could have had more time to enjoy her great nieces and nephews, and she spoke of them often. She was taken from all of us way too soon. But we could never forget her. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. With her, she takes all our love on her way to a better place. She is now at peace, dancing amongst the stars, with her mother and father before her.
Our family will receive condolences on Saturday, December 30th from 11 am to 3 pm at:
Actuel Services Funéraires located at 4500 Rue de Verdun, Verdun, QC H4G 1M3
Her sister, Jackie, would like to thank all her family and friends for being there for Francy in times when she could not be.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Fly high and rest in heavenly peace my beautiful sister from another mother. We spoke the week before. You braved it out and said nothing. I cant believe you are gone but I do know that you are out of pain now. Heaven won't know what to do. You're gonna take over! You're smile, your sassiness, your wit! I loved our friendship Francy and I will never ever forget it. You're always with me in heart. Love your sister Dee!
