À Cowansville, le 25 avril 2025, est décédé à l’âge de 82 ans, Jean Després. Il laisse dans le deuil ses 2 enfants, Louis et Anne-Marie (Bertrand Provost), ses petits-enfants Justin et Lucas Duquette. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil son frère Marc (Lucie Bougault) et Céline (Raynald Bouchard), ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.
Tel que son souhait, aucune cérémonie ne sera tenue.

Dear Anne Marie, you have been part of our family for such a long time I feel like I am addressing a daughter with this note. My deepest sympathies to you and Louis. My youth is peppered with fond memories of Jean, especially at the cottage with Anne-Marie. I was always greeted by him with “Salut la Grande”! My wish for those that will miss him is that their hearts are mended by the love they had for Jean and the memories and lives that they shared xo
