Joan Wakenell

November 1933-April 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom Joan Ada Wakenell (Larman) at the age of 90 @ Centre Champlain in Chateauguay, Qc

Her journey with Alzheimer’s was part of her story, but it was not her entire story! I want to honor all aspects of our Mom’s life, remembering her as a vibrant loving person, with many talents, and many loves, first Our Dad who left us in September 2018 Ronald Larman, they are reunited! Second was her love of her children Todd Larman, and Christine Larman (Andrew Thorne), grandbabies Olivier and Charlotte Larman, and Abigail and Nicholas Thorne and not to forget Carmen Sylvain who was mom’s thrifting partner! She loved Panama City Beach where she and Dad spent every winter, was her happy place (she’s there now with Dad!)

Special thanks to Sue C for your many years being mom’s companion and my eyes! Thank you to Cheryle B who spent the last year and the very last days at mom’s side along with Sue, forever grateful!

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers on the 2nd floor at centre d’hébergement Champlain in Châteauguay, special note to Véronique L best PAB a person can have!

"Until we meet again momma! Love you 💞"
