With hearts full of love and sadness, the family of Margie Havill announces her passing on Sunday, August 17th at the Lakeshore General Hospital. She leaves behind her children Jamie and Paula (Gary), her cherished sister Nancy and brother-in-law Lee, nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong and kindred friends lucky enough to share pages in her story. Her adored grandchildren who will carry fond memories of their Annie for life.
Margie had a boundless curiosity for life, always ready to add her own twist. She leaves her loved ones with notes scribbled on recipes and unfinished projects infused with her creativity.
She rarely missed a gathering or celebration and had a way of making even the quietest person in the room feel seen. Fiercely loyal and loving, she was both a steady protector and a tireless advocate. She gave a listening ear to the difficult child, a voice to the underdog, and a helping hand to those who needed it most. Regardless of where Margie went, conversation, warm laughter, and a sense of belonging followed.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm in Havill Hall at St James Nativity Church, located at 328 rue Pine in Rosemere, Qc. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to your local homeless shelter, women’s shelter or just remembered to be kind, pay it forward and give someone your time. She will be missed beyond measure, but the memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever!
