My dear friend Ray , we will miss your jokes, laughter, calls, and e mails at all hours. We were tennis partners and he would say stories in all our doubles tournaments, am sure we won 1 or 2 of them. Ray when entering the Club if you were there, I knew à fun time was to be had. Chrissy, he boasted about you and Robert and the children, we will miss him, and am sure all of NDG and those dogs he loved. Our deepest condoléance to the family and to Sue.

Tu vas beaucoup me manquer. J’espère que tous les chiens que tu as promenés et aimés vont t’accompagner et te rendre leur amour dans l’au-delà. Mes sincères condoléances à toute sa famille. Lyne Chartrand

It was quite a shock to learn of Ray’s passing. He was a vital, athletic and energetic man, and a fixture of life at the Monkland Tennis Club. He was a man of strong opinions and a love of old-style jokes. I’ll miss him.

So very sad to hear of beloved Ray’s passing. So many years passed seeing Ray walking his dog, sometimes dogs, playing fun tennis with him, having him stop by our store in Westmount Square to say hi! And just connect — I am deeply saddened and give my family’s deep condolences for the family’s loss. Sincerely Monica, Jeff, Nick (Dalia), Jason (Eli) & Charlotte (Paul).

I remember Ray being a very funny man! I seem to remember he had nicknames for everyone! My love to you and your families. The loss of a loved one is always difficult. Life is precious, we must try and make the best of it and remember to always find ways to laugh!

Chrissy and family, Please accept our most sincere condolences. While we would see Ray at family occasions, we really got to know him more when he came by to walk Jessie in her early years. They both lit up whenever they saw each other and I know it was more than the pieces of bacon he would save for her from his breakfast. I have no doubt she has bounded up to him with her tail wagging as they reunite. Sending you all much love - Susan, Marc, Kate, Matthew and Evan
