It is with a heavy heart that we are sad to announce the passing of our father Wally. Dad passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2023, at the Anna Laberge Hospital. Born to the late Walter and Ethel Fisher (Campbell) on February 13, 1931, in Montreal. Dad married the love of his life the late Anna Elizabeth Chatelaine in 1953 and he was the proud father of five daughters. Dad adored his family. He was surrounded by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Wally is survived by his loving daughters; Sharon (the late Gordon Paxton), Donna (Robert Bernier), Caroline (Sylvain Nadeau), Susan (Randy Munroe) and Linda (Jim Glover), seven grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Angie, Krystal, Julien, Cody and Deven, twelve Great Grandchildren Jessica, Sabrina, Alexia, Zander, Ezra, Emerald, Amber, Connor, Brooklyn, Ky'mani, Ky'mai and James, as well as five Great Great Grand Children Nathan, Amelia, Liana, Madeleine and Everly. He also leaves behind his sister & brother Julie and Norman, and many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by a young brother in infancy Walter Frederick, sisters Edna and Eleanore.
We would like to thank Dr. Parente and the staff at Anna Laberge Hospital for all their help in making dad’s passing comfortable and peaceful.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday February 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m at Actuel Funeral Services located in Verdun – In front of the Verdun Metro Station.
