Cherie
Miklos
1969 - 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cherie Miklos on January 6th 2026, a woman whose heart was as strong as it was kind, and whose presence was the glue that held so many together.
Cherie leaves behind her only daughter, Tanina Miklos Scalia, who was the light of her life and her greatest pride. She is also survived by her beloved brothers, James, Shane and George; her cousin Tammy; and her cherished nieces, Priscilla and Alexandra, whom she loved with all her heart. To her family, Cherie was the backbone — the one who made sure everyone stayed connected, showed up for one another, and never forgot how important family truly is.
To know Cherie was to know unconditional support. She would climb mountains for her friends and was always the first person you could call when you needed someone to talk to or lean on. She had a rare gift for knowing exactly what to say, and you could always count on her to listen without judgment. She was the most forgiving person, never one to hold a grudge, always choosing love, understanding, and grace instead. She was determined, capable, and endlessly resourceful, proving time and again that strength comes in many forms, especially when paired with heart.
Above all else, Cherie lived for the people she loved, and she loved fiercely. Her legacy is one of loyalty, compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable ache, the love she gave and the lessons she taught will continue to guide all who were lucky enough to know her.
She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
