It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gay Patricia Champagne, who left us peacefully on April 25th, 2026 at the age of 76.
Gay always had a soft spot for animals, rescuing and loving many cats over the years. Though she had no children of her own, she opened her heart and home to foster children at one point in her life, offering care, guidance, and stability.
She shared more than 30 years with Brian Davies, who was the love of her life. Their bond was one of unwavering support, and enduring love. Brian meant everything to Gail (as he called her). She is survived by Brian, who resides in a residence in Île-Bizard.
Over the years, Gay was warmly welcomed into Brian's family and cherished those relationships deeply.
Gay will also be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by Brian and his family, by her brother Marc and his family as well as by her cousins Lorelei and Melanie and her niece Taryn and her nephew Shawn.
Gay will be remembered for her caring spirit, her loyalty to those she loved, and the quiet impact she made in the lives of her friends and family. Gay was predeceased by her sisters Kim and Gilberte and by her parents Margaret Wilson Champagne and Gerard Champagne.
A private memorial will be celebrated at the family's grave site in Ontario this summer.
