1928 - 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Ouellette on January 24, 2026, at the age of 97.
His smile will forever be etched in our memories, and especially his positive attitude. "How are you, Dad?"... he always replied, "Number one!"
Born into a family of 12 children to Gertrude Hamelin and Ludovic Ouellette on October 22, 1928, he lived a life full of joy, surrounded by the love of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Serge Ouellette and Cathy, Yves Ouellette, Sylvie Ouellette and Sean, and his grandchildren: Cindy Ouellette, Marc Ouellette, and Sophie Ouellette-Wade.
He had a long career as a construction superintendent, built several cottages on the family property in St-Francois, and built two houses for his family. He loved his boat on the Mille Îles River, where he enjoyed water skiing and fishing with his sons.
Everyone who knew him had the same compliments for him: always smiling, kind, and ready to help everyone.
