With sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of Sidney Joseph Richard Summers, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 31st, 2026, at the age of 78.
A faithful husband for 46 years, he shared a life of love and devotion with his beloved wife Apryle. He was a dedicated and loving father to five children (Mark, Kathleen, Sherrie, Robert, and Kenneth), proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and great grandfather to 3. He was a gifted man with a passion for engineering and mechanics… and Elvis. Not many can boast being able to build a home, mill parts and build functional miniature trains, build cars from scratch… all while raising a family.
More important than that, he was a good Dad, in a way even to many who were friends of his children, and a faithful husband. The product of a bygone era. A hard worker and a kind hearted man who lived for his family. Above all, he was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. His life was marked by humility, integrity, and a deep love for his family and his Savior. Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in the hope of eternal life and the promise that they will see him again.

A memorial service will be held at the Chateauguay Community Church, at 111 rue Lauzon, Chateauguay, QC J6K 1C7, on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at 11:00AM.
