Gary Davis passed away peacefully at home at the age of 68, surrounded by family and friends and showered with love and music on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Dearly loved son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Graham) Davis and brother of Gail, Susan (Yves), Danny (Barbara). Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A special thanks to his sister Gail, friend Pat and all the wonderful healthcare workers who assisted Gary with devotion, compassion and care throughout his illness and to all who called or dropped by for a visit.
Gary’s love of music, playing guitar, quick wit, quirky sense of humor, kindness and warm smile left an indelible mark on everyone he met, young and old alike!
“Thank you for the music, laughter and for enriching our lives in so many ways. You did you and we loved you for it! Your music will live on, a timeless tribute to your talent and spirit. We will miss you deeply. Godspeed to you dear Gary!”

Condolences to the family
All my sympathies to Gary's family. He was a brilliant musician and an even better friend. I'll never stop missing him.
I'm so sad to hear of Gary's passing. My sincerst condolences to his family. Gary became a part of our lives from RVR days, when he and Steve Leonard played some amazing guitar together. Although we didn't meet up very often he was a valued friend and one heck of a musician. Rest in Peace, Gary.
We are so very sad to be losing one of the Good Guys. Gary's kindness, sense of humour and radiant smiles were always welcomed gifts. We will miss him greatly. Be at Peace dear friend.
I knew Gary through my friend Cindy. We would often go out to watch him play… He had so much talent. My sympathies go out to his family and friends, he will be deeply missed.

We haven't seen Gary in quite a while but going to the Habs game tonight I thought I'd look up Hurleys, etc... to see if he might be playing. I am shocked, though not entirely surprised, to see this notice. We used to go and watch him play at places like the Cock 'n Bull and Hurleys and Ye Old Orchard and... and... and... back in the day and we'll miss him terribly! Gary was a kind and gentle soul! The music you shared with everyone you met will never stop in our hearts! RIP Gary...

It has been many years since I have seen Gary, but he has always had a warm place in my heart. As the cousin of his cousins, The McGaws, we got to know each other in our teenage years. I moved to Toronto as a young adult and lost touch with many. I always remembered Gary. He was sweet, kind, very funny, and very warm, always. Please take care of yourselves as I know Gary loved his family deeply and always wanted the best for all of you. Until we meet again, dear Gary.
Very sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. He was always so friendly & warm. Even when he wasn’t playing music. Peace to family and friends.
My deepest sympathies to Gary's family and loved ones. I was a great fan of Gary's music and spent many years making time to appreciate his art and to enjoy his good company. I greatly miss my friend.
It was with great sadness that we heard of Gary’s passing. Apart from being a great musician he was truly a great person. He will be missed by many. From Gail and I to the family, God’s strength to you all of you to help deal with his trip above. Respectfully Dan and Gail Cormier
