It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Thibodeau, who died tragically and suddenly on March 3, 2025, at the young age of 52. Born on March 29, 1972, in Montreal, Jason was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was the cherished son of Penelope (Jack) and John (Wendy).
Jason was married to his beloved wife, Sarah, on June 14, 1997. Their marriage spanned 17 beautiful years before Sarah's untimely passing in October 2014. Jason's heart was forever touched by her love, and he continued to carry her spirit with him throughout his life.
In his role as a father, Jason was a guiding light to his four children: Jessica (Evan), Jacob (Ashlen), Jordan (Lucas), and Sam (Jason). He took immense pride in each of them, nurturing and encouraging them to embrace their individuality and pursue their dreams. He is also survived by his brother, Devon, and his beloved nephew, David, who brought great joy into his life.
Jason's life was marked by an unwavering passion for learning and adventure. He excelled academically, achieving high 90s at Delta College, a testament to his dedication and intelligence. His greatly successful career as a programmer led him to his latest achievement, his company, which combined his love for programming and technology with his passion for the fantasy worlds such as Star Wars, LotR and Dungeons and Dragons. His innovative spirit and technical expertise were evident in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Jason's personality was as vibrant as his interests. He was known for his goofy, quirky nature that brought laughter to those around him. An avid fan of fantasy, Jason found joy in worlds of imagination and adventure, immersing himself in the realms of Dungeons and Dragons, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars.
Tragically, Jason's life was cut short due to a massive cardiac arrest. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends. His infectious zest for life inspired those around him and his ability to see the humor in everyday situations and his quirky sense of fun made him a joy to be with.
As we remember Jason, we hold on to the love he gave, and the light he brought into our lives. He taught us the importance of family, the joy of imagination, and the beauty of living life to the fullest. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
