Larry Light

1951-2024
Born on April 5 1951, Larry past away peacefully on June 11 2024 at the age of 73.

Beloved husband to Susan Stott, cherished father to Sheena (Steven) and Ryan (Avery), papa to Olivia, Abigail, Noah and Crowe.

Survived by his brothers Donald (Marlene), Brian and Allan.

Larry was predeceased by his mother Annie McGraw, his father Francis Light, his brothers Gary, George and Steven.

He was a proud “Pointer” and always had a story to tell about growing up in Pointe Saint-Charles. His loyalty to his 6 brothers was unmatched, as well as his love for the Irish, and all sports.

Larry was known for his passion for sports, particularly baseball. He never missed an opportunity to play the game, coach his children and grandchildren.

His love for music was equally profound. Larry had an ability to dance with rhythm and style, bringing joy to all around him. His kind and gentle heart made him easy to love and he formed deep, lasting connections with everyone he met.

However, Larry’s great love was undoubtedly his family. The love and devotion he showed his children and grandchildren were unmeasurable. He was their biggest support, always present and full of love.

A celebration of his life will take place on Monday June 24th at the Châteauguay Legion from 1pm to 4pm.

To Susan and the Light Family, Thinking of you during this difficult time. My deepest sympathies on the passing of Larry. Although, it is long ago, I have fond memories of Larry and his siblings from the Point: in grade school, as teenagers, and then Steven as a student at Dawson College. I wish you peace and comfort as you grieve. Linda Wright 13/06/2024.
