Leroy Ewing

1953-2024
Leroy Carlo Ewing, known affectionately to friends and family as Carlos, passed away on April 7, 2024, in Montreal, QC, at the age of 70. Born on August 27, 1953, in Halifax, NS, Carlos was a man whose presence was as vibrant and enduring as the Rock and Roll music he so loved.

Carlos was a cherished member of his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his son Kyle (Melissa), grandchildren Abigail and Zander, and his wife Barbara. He also leaves behind his siblings, Angela, Danielle (Peter), Nicole, Stephane (Annie), Dominique (Cassandra), many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Carlos was predeceased by a host of beloved family members, including his grandmother, Dorothy, his grandfather, Ernest, his mother, Ruth, his sisters, Denise and Elise, his brother, Michael, his uncle, Fulton and his nephew Sebastien. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and he often reminisced about the moments they shared with warmth and affection.

Carlos attended Dawson College where he studied computer programming. His career took him on many adventures, from the open roads as a truck driver to the busy streets as a taxi driver.à

Those who knew Carlos will remember him as a man who could fix almost anything. His handy skills were matched only by his generous spirit and willingness to help others. Carlos was the embodiment of kindness and was often the first to offer support or a listening ear to those in need.

Above all, Carlos was a loving individual whose gentle demeanor and kind heart left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He navigated life's ups and downs with grace and a smile that could light up a room.

The void left by Carlos's passing will be deeply felt by many, but the memories of his laughter, stories, and the love he gave so freely will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know him.

His spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched, the help he gave, and the joy he spread. He was always there for conversation, no matter what the topic and you could always count on him for advice, laughs and his many, many stories. He was known as the man with the giant heart and will be missed by many.

As per his wishes, there will be no services held but there will be A Celebration of Life in his honor on August 3, 2024 @ 3pm at his niece Annette’s house for all those who wish to attend. Please contact Annette via Facebook Messenger for the address.
