Margaret Brady (Born Cain)

1934-2023
Margaret Mary Darlington Cain Brady passed away on September 1, 2023 at age 89. She was the wife of the late Fred Brady and daughter of the late Edna and William Cain of Ottawa. She was predeceased by seven sisters and four brothers, all of Ottawa.

She leaves in her sorrow her two nieces Pauline Gagnon and Bonnie-Dee Racette, dear friend Sheila Waite, and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and a great-great nephew.

Margaret’s greatest joy were her students that she taught throughout her 35 year career as a school teacher at St. Gabriel's School and while serving as a religious with the Sisters of the Holy Cross.

The family is forever grateful to Sheila for her steadfast loyalty and support over the years, as well as to the staff at the Centre d’hébergement Champlain for all their comfort and care provided to our Aunt and to us.

A private service will be held. In memory of Margaret, donations to the Dementia Society of Montreal, or to the Centre d’hébergement Champlain, would be appreciated.

This makes me very sad Mrs Brady was my grade 4 teacher. I’m 53 now and still remember her kind face. She was always good to me and taught me good lessons. RIP Mrs Brady you will be missed you made a lot of kids happy and smarter today! ❤️

Chère Madame Brady j’ai passé toute mon enfance à Verdun comme voisin juste à côté de vous. Vous étiez d’une très grande gentillesse avec un coeur immense. Reposez-vous maintenant. On pense à vous. La famille Brideau
