Martin O'Donnell Crawford passed away peaceful at the age of 95yrs old in Greenfield Park at the Charles Lemoyne hospital after battling with heart and kidney failure with his devoted wife Jennifer Viner Crawford by his side.
Martin was born on July 6th, 1930 to George and Ruth Crawford in Bridgetown, Barbados.
After graduating he worked in a hotel from about the age of 18-20, Then he worked for the Harrison Boats Ship learning to be an engineer.
He met his first wife Muriel Davis in the late 1940-1950's and eventually moved to England he worked in a hospital for a while shoveling coal.
He had 6 children, Marilyn and Maureen and 4 with Muriel, Michael, Julie and Martin Jr.
He eventually moved to Montreal and had Marvin, he worked at the Catherine Booth Hospital and resumed working with the lakes with the Canadian Steam Ship Lines.
Martin divorced and retired and at a barbecue met his present wife Jennifer Viner Crawford.
They Travelled and had a busy social life and later a quiet life.
Martin was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Austin, Paul, Beresford, Ervine and Baby Ruth and children : Martin Jr. , Marvin and Maureen.
He is survived by is brother Aubry, Peter and Joy, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, nephews, cousins, brother in law Blaine Viner and friends.
He will be missed immensely.
