It is with great sadness and love that we say goodbye to Reginald George Laycock. He was a loving, caring father to daughter Deborah Miriam (Allan), and son Graham George (Sherri) and great friend to anyone he met.
Born in London England, with a tough upbringing, he immigrated to Canada in 1967, with his beloved wife and 2 children. They landed in Winnipeg and made a life there for 6 years, until moving to Montreal in 1973 when he joined Air Canada as a machinist Category 17. Working there from February 1973 to June 1999, he retired after 28 years. Always tinkering in the garage repairing and pulling things apart, he enjoyed travelling, fishing and celebrating life.
In his much later years, Reginald developed Parkinson’s disease along with other complications.
On June 17 2024, after a lengthy hospital stay, Reggie peacefully passed away at Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. He has joined his loving wife Miriam and his sister Margaret.
Rejoined once again, in peace.
