Watson, Thomas (Tom), 71, passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was born in Montreal on October 21st, 1952, to the late Harry and Evelyn (Moyce) Watson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Catherine (Bentley), his son Christopher (Allison), his grandson Benjamin, his sisters Diane (Jean) and Debra, and his many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, and loved ones.
Tom will be most remembered for his love of whistling! He warmed the hearts of everyone by whistling his favorite tunes. You knew you were never alone as long as you could hear his whistling. He loved working with his hands and was always the first to volunteer to help friends and family with any home project. He loved to travel and see the world. He will be sreatly missed by all.
Many thanks to all the doctors, nurses, PABs and volunteers on k7 and in the Palliative Care Unit who helped to make his final days respectful and peaceful. You are all angels.
A celebration of his life will be held at a future date in Montreal.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation. (click here)
