It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Ridley, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on March 8, 2026, at the Theresa Dellar Palliative Care Centre. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Grant and Eileen and her twin brother Dale.
Surviving Gail is her daughter, Tammy, and her treasured grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) and Leah, who were the centre of her world and brought immense joy and pride to her life. She is also survived by her sister Debbie (Andy), her niece Melanie (Sean), nephew Patrick (Jessica) as well as extended family including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, chosen family, cousins, and friends, all of whom held a special part in her heart.
Gail loved music and dancing and rarely missed an opportunity to gather with family and friends, always wanting to be part of every moment that mattered. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Their kindness and compassion toward Gail, especially in the days leading to her passing, were a source of comfort and peace. The family is deeply thankful to the entire team for making Gail feel loved and cared for.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Lakeshore Hospital, an organization close to Gail's heart, where she received exceptional care and support.
May she rest in eternal peace, forever dancing among the stars.
