The family of Joyce Cheryl Lynd is saddened to announce her passing on April 9, 2026, at the age of 72. Joyce passed away at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal, Quebec.
Joyce was born on November 11, 1953, in New Richmond, Quebec, to the late Reid Lynd and Euphemia Lynd (née Charles).
Joyce was a strong and independent woman whose dedication and work ethic were evident throughout her life. In her early years, she worked with Blue Cross in Moncton, New Brunswick, and later at Seaside Chev Olds dealership. In 1992, Joyce made Montreal her home, where she built a meaningful career with BCA Research. As an executive assistant, she was highly respected and formed lasting friendships, becoming part of a close-knit work family. She retired late last year after many years of devoted service.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered and forever loved by her two sons, Kevin Cook(50) and Scott Cook(45) (Jessica), both of Saint John, New Brunswick. She is also survived by many cousins and extended family members.
Joyce's strength, independence, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
At our mothers request she will be cremated, there will be no viewing or service, for those who knew her always remember her for how kind and thoughtful and helpful she always was
