Wayne Stephen Mallette passed away at his home in Beaconsfield, Quebec, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, after enduring four years of health challenges, he was 67 years old.
Wayne's story began on Good Friday, March 27, 1959, when he was born at the Catherine Booth Hospital in Montreal to his loving parents, the late Donald and Thelma Mallette. Growing up in the Greendale area of Pierrefonds, Quebec, Wayne was a natural athlete who excelled at both hockey and baseball. A graduate of Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School (Class of 1976), Wayne possessed an easy-going nature and a genuine warmth that allowed him to make lifelong friends wherever life took him.
Wayne's speciality in mechanics and sheet metal naturally brought him into the aircraft industry. His exceptional skill and precision took him across Canada and throughout Europe, working on aircraft and leaving his mark on the industry he loved.
When he wasn't working on planes, Wayne was often found on two wheels. An avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, he spent the bulk of his free days in earlier years riding his cherished Low Rider, embracing the freedom of the open road.
Above all, Wayne was a family man. For the past decade, he was fortunate to share his life with his devoted and loving wife, Melanie Ramilla Mallette. The two were married in the Philippines on December 23, 2016, and together they built a beautiful life, caring for their three children, Junmar, Joshua, and Samantha. Throughout his prolonged illness, Wayne was also blessed with the unwavering support of his daughter, Heather Berard, who spent countless hours by his side caring for him a deep bond of mutual love and respect that brought him immense comfort.
Wayne is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Melanie; his children, Junmar, Joshua, Samantha, Heather, Christina and Sandra; and his siblings, Danny (Claire), Heather (Michael), Glenn (Fabiola), and Nancy. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, deep friendships, and a passion for his family.
A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at St Edmund's of Canterbury, on September 26th, 2026 at 11 AM followed by a reception at the same location from 12 to 2 PM. All those who wish to attend are welcome. The address of St Edmund's is 119 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield, Quebec.
